Who i am and what i do

I am presently a certified level 2 by Tennis Canada. My objective is to eventually be a level 3 coach.

Tennis has been a real passion for me since i was 6 years old. I have been introduced to this beautiful sport by my dad who played tennis himself. I began competing around 9 and have been ranked 18th in quebec at age 14. I still play tournaments in the "veteran" category (over 35 years old) and have been ranked as high as 3rd in quebec in the last few years. I also play regularly in "open class" tournaments where players of all levels compete.
My level of play is between 5.0 and 5.5.

I have been spending most of my time teaching in private for the last few years to players of all levels and ages. I have a very vast experience in coaching private lessons, i am rigorous and demanding, but i also know how to adapt to my client’s demands. Whether it’s just to keep in shape while having fun or really improving your technique to perform, i possess the tools to help improve every aspect of your game.

I also work in a development program at Complexe sportif Longueuil at ORIZE academy. I work 3 nights a week during the fall and winter and full time during 2 months in the summer. We have a program in which we develop young players from 9 to 18 years old who most have a provincial or national ranking.

I also possess experience in coaching wheelchair athletes, having obtained a certificate in a training course related to that specifically. I have coached a player named Yan Mathieu during the last year of his career that ended in 2011. Yan was ranked 25th in the world at that time.

I also worked 3 years for Tennis Montréal. I have given group lessons for adults, doubles strategy group lessons, groups lessons for kids, and have been hitting partner for their development program as well.
